Blue Dot Porcelain Sea Urchin
This is a hand thrown porcelain piece done on a potter's wheel. It is covered in blue slip dots to mimic the spines of a sea urchin, then covered in a transparent glaze. The raised dots have an amazing feel and is very tactile. Inspired by actual pictures of sea urchins, it takes me two hours to complete all of the dot work on each urchin. They look great as a decor piece on it's own or with companions. It also looks beautiful full of flowers, a succulent. or small plant in any location or even as a vessel for a drink, but I do recommend using a straw.
This is a one-of-a-kind item. All of my glazes are non toxic.
