Sea Urchin Wine Coaster/Candle Holder

This is a hand thrown white stoneware piece done on a potter's wheel. Then it is covered in white slip dots and glazed in a variety of beautiful glazes. The raised dots have an amazing feel and is very tactile. there are even barnacles added for that extra beachy design. Inspired by actual pictures of sea urchins, it takes me up to an hour to complete all of the dot work on each urchin. It is the perfect size for a wine coaster or a large candle. It has even been recommended to me to use as a condiment dish with dips or jams. They look great as a decor piece on it's own or with companions. It also looks beautiful as a votive with several floating tea lights, flowers, a succulent. or air plants in any location.

This is a one-of-a-kind item. All of my glazes are non toxic.

These are dishwasher safe, though handwashing is recommended.
